ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆ ಮಂಚಿ – ಕೊಳ್ನಾಡು ಇಲ್ಲಿ 80ನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶಾಲಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಮಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶಿವಶಂಕರ್ ರಾವ್ ಮಂಚಿ ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣಗೈದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ , “ಭವ್ಯ ಭಾರತದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಗುವಿನಲ್ಲೂ ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮ, ಪರಿಸರ ಕಾಳಜಿ, ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಪೂರಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಠ್ಯದ ಜೊತೆ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮೂಡಿ ಬರುವಂತಾದರೆ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಗಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಭಾರತದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.” ಎಂದರು. ಶಾಲಾ ನಾಯಕಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ನೀಸಾ ಧ್ವಜವಂದನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಗಣ್ಯರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು.
ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರೋತ್ಸವದ ಕುರಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅನಿಸಿಕೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೀತೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ನೃತ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು.
